Just got back from a trip up North, travelling the Gibb River Road to Mitchell Plateau to photograph the magnificent Mitchell Falls. What an adventure – a two day journey from Broome, about 1000 kilometres of dirt road return, wrecked the radiator of the car, helicopter flight in and 3.5 km speed hike out to get back to the camp before it got pitch black darkĀ with 10 kilograms of photo gear. I was very fortunate to see the Mitchell Falls flowing at the end of September 2010. Not much, but better than nothing, I can hopefully squeeze in another trip in May next year.
